The Rev. Dr. Ronald E. Ramsey, Rector
The Vestry of St. John's Church is an elected group of parish members who
oversee the church and its operations. It has two primary responsibilities, 1) to
take care of the parish finances, 2) to take care of parish buildings. Other duties
and responsibilities involve discerning the leadership of the Holy Spirit for the
present life and future ministry of the parish.
The members of the vestry might also assist the rector in providing spiritual
guidance to the congregation. It is the duty of the vestry to promote the life and
vitality of the existing congregation and to be an advocate for the work of
mission throughout our global village. This promotion includes outreach
programs, diverse ministries and creative partnerships with other parishes and
organizations.
The vestry is also responsible for assisting the rector in cultivating an image of
Christian service that attracts new members and encourages their retention.
Members of the vestry are always available during Coffee Hour to talk with
parishioners about their hopes and dreams for St. John's Church.
St. John's Vestry members for 2011 are:
Senior Warden - Don Griffin
Junior Warden - Andrew Nyamekye

It is right, and a good and joyful thing, always and
every where to give thanks to you, Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth.
The Capital Campaign
In 2007, St. John's launched a Capital
Campaign with four primary goals: Church
School, Going Green, Saving Sacred Music &
Sacred Places, Growing in Mission. Click
here for the Capital Campaign flyer.
Our Capital Campaign is in its final stage. Dr.
David Wilcox and Barbara Seyon have done
an outstanding job as our Co-Chairs. The
Capital Campaign Committee worked
tirelessly to launch our campaign and to
encourage the Parish to support this effort.
We have accomplished much during the
course of this campaign and we will
celebrate our success through presentations
and reports in the weeks to come. We are
grateful to God for your prayers, support,
and generous financial gifts. The Rector.
