St. John's Work in the World
Our Outreach Committee strives to take action locally and globally in bringing our mission into the world.  The members of the Committee serve in various ways and on various projects.  Listed below are some of the current projects at St. John's Arlington.  Please see Rev. Wong or any of the members of the Committee if you would like to get involved or lend a hand on a specific event.

Ukranian Resettlement:
St. John's is actively working with other groups in Arlington and surrounding communities to create a circle of care to offer a resettlement opportunity for a family fleeing the war in Ukraine.

Arlington EATS Market:
We raise funds to support the Arlington EATS Market.  EATS Market was temporarily housed in our Parish Hall.  They have now completed their new headquarters on Broadway St. in Arlington.  We also accept food donations for the EATS Market.  To find out more about the Arlington EATS Market. Click here.  

Guatemala Aid Fund:  St John’s has been actively involved with the Guatemala Aid fund, raising money and awareness for this mission.  The Guatemala Aid Fund is a local organization that support two orphanages and a school in Guatemala. Somerville Homeless Coalition:
St. John's partners with the Somerville Homeless Coalition click here providing cooked meals to clients on the fifth Monday of the month.  We also routinely host drives to collect personal care items for those who face housing insecurity, eviction or who have no home. Click here.

ABCD ESL Classes in Roslindale:
St. John's partners with the ESL Classes in Roslindale under the direction of ABCD, working with students to improve the English-language skills and practice mock job interviews for when they are seeking employment. We also collect toys at Christmas to help families who have recently arrived in the United States.

English At Large:
We sponsor weekly classes to help recent immigrants to the United States learn English skills.

Holiday Help:
St. John's participates in the annual Holiday Help program, securing gifts for families during the Christmas Season.
